Not now???!!!

Ma and I were busy baking a cake last night. Ma wanted to bring it for her friends the next day. Eventually, we started doing the process around 8 something (which I had to sacrifice my favourite Taiwan comedy drama – 不良笑花)… I helped to shave the orange rinds… while ma busy measuring the flour, sugar, eggs and butter… Then we stirred the ingredients accordingly and then the dough was ready for the final step – OVEN time!!!

Suddenly… "dup!"BLACKOUT!!!

OH NO!!! Not now… what should we do now? With the raw dough… Haha… well, ma had to brought the dough to her friend’s house to bake it and bring the cake back… I think this is the best baking experience one could ever have…

Valentine’s Present for Mein

Here is my present for Mein during this year’s Valentine’s. It’s a small booklet of photos compiled starting from the time when we were still friends in UUM until the time we got registered. I used recycled materials like used book & used papers to make this booklet as a gesture of supporting recycling campaign. Not all expensive gifts are good and not all good gifts are expensive! It’s the heart that counts…

And by the way, we did not have any fancy romantic dinner and all. We just had a normal KFC lunch and a very normal dinner at home… WHY??? Because we do not look like those fools who are rich enough to pay for extra expensive dinner or roses… Oops! 🙂

One Day Preparing for Papa’s Birthday

We used one day to prepare all the food for papa’s birthday. His birthday is on the 12 Feb but we celebrate it earlier as it was a public holiday yesterday. We went shopping for all the raw food and ingredients for the cake and steamboat dinner.

In the afternoon, May started to bake the cake while I wash and clean the sotongs. I also washed and cut the vegetables. Later in the evening, I blended a jar of super spicy chili sauce!!! My favourite!

Then, we had our steamboat of various choices…

After dinner, I prepared the special fruit punch – longan + orange + Excel isotonic drink + red wine (optional)… Refreshing… Ahhhhhhhh….

Surprise! Surprise! Later, May took out the cake and we sang Happy Birthday song for pa… and "swallowed" the whole cake together… Yum Yum… It’s an orange cake, recipe from Ah Yin auntie. We also had some JCO donuts too, courtesy of Jacky…

Something Fun to Do…

It’s the 13th day of the Lunar New Year and we went to a party on The Chia Clansmen Association of KL. Ma joined this association not long ago. It’s an association for anybody with the surname of Chia "谢". Since it’s not a frequent event, we accompanied ma to this event just to see what kind of activities they do in these kind of associations. I am actually looking for the similar association for the THUMs "谭"… Haha! Anyone knows where can I find them? 🙂

The party is held in their HQ in KL along Jalan Kampong Attap. Food was served to all guests on the rooftop, while their performances were shown in their small hall. It was quite fun… listening to some "amateur" karaoke singers and watching their "same steps" line dance…

You Know What I Did This CNY – On Demand

I was about to skip talking about my CNY but due to popular demand, I’ve decided to update generally what I’ve done during the CNY 2009. Basically, nothing special happened. Haha! As usual, went to visit relatives and friends. First day, back to Sentul. Second day in Cheras. Third day to sixth, in Penang (and back). Really nothing happened…

*thinking thinking* On the fourth day morning, my ex-room mate called me and broke a shocking news to me. His friend (whom I know) met with an accident and passed away. It was indeed very sad to know someone we know is no longer with us (especially during the festive season)… I pray for his soul to rest in peace.
