Wedding Cookies from the Oven

Counting down to our wedding day, we are preparing something special for our guests – home-made wedding cookies. It is not my first time baking, but it was for Mein. She’s had fun playing around with those flour and dough. It was my first time baking at our own home. The feeling is really undescribable.

“There you go! In the oven that is!”

The timing and temperature are very important. Stay alert guys!

Well done! Nicely baked and left a side for cooling down…

Let the artist do her job. Decorating her masterpieces with icing sugar. It’s my first time doing this. It’s pure fun! You guys should try it as well. Easy to make. Just whip 1 egg white until fluffy. Add in icing sugar until mixture becomes creamy. Add in 1-2 drops of prefered colouring for colour.

Half way through… Wishing “Thank U” to our guests…

Tadaa…! Our first batch of artwork and masterpieces… Which is your favourite?

Perfect picture moment! Two lovey doveys with their cookies… ready to be packed and given to the guests…

23 October 2011 – We baked our 2nd batch of cookies which is the exact ones that we distributed to our guests in the reception…

Date Selection

15 January 2011 – Went to Kok Chong Ming in Sentul to select our Chinese customary wedding date at a fee of RM100 only. Other places were rather more expensive than this one. It’s quite easy to find this place, but still we had to made a few rounds because we missed its shop signage. Anyway, the sifu gave us a few dates to choose. We are now in the mist of choosing our preferred dates and also availability of restaurants in Penang for the dinner with our family.

It will be a closed ceremony. Only close relatives and friends will be invited to our reception. So, do not worry. We will not “rob” you like others do! Hehehe! (Jangan marah…)

We shall anounce the date after confirmation.

It’s main entrance…

Other services available…

BTW, I have got a new Chinese name now… 譚煒礦

The Day We Were Models…

20 October 2009 – The day we had our bridal photo shoot. Here are some preview of Mein’s gown. We started at 10AM and ended at 930PM. Imagine how tired we were?! Luckily lunch (chicken rice) were provided. Starving at the end of the day.

Mein waiting anxiously…

After "a little" touch up…

My beautiful bride…

Me and my currypuff hairstyle… Mein said I looked like James Bond… Hehehe…

Preparing for the outdoor shooting @ Lake Gardens…

Mein in her outdoor gown…

We didn’t know that there’s this beautiful scenery in Lake Gardens…

Look! "Tu kia" (our baby) is there too for the photo session… This dress was with a can-can finishing…

Night gown…

Chinese costume… merah padam aka cili padi…?! Oops! 🙂

Mein in a beige-coloured Cheongsam… I liked this the most… Very beautiful…

Well, as for myself, I wore all my own clothes. Only used one or two of their coats. For people my size, better bring your own jacket/coat/blazer… Most of their sizes are for fat big guys… So loose… If you guys and gals are anxious to see the outcome, we are MORE! So, be patient…
