Cyber Eco Hunt 2022 – Towards A Sustainable Future

I am so glad that I have the opportunity to play a small role in this meaningful event Cyber Eco Hunt 2022 by @alamflorasdnbhd with the theme “Towards A Sustainable Future” in Kuantan, Pahang.

The event aims to show commitment by Kumpulan Alam Flora and their continuous effort to reduce 40% recyclable wastage sent to disposal sites towards 2025. I had so much fun with the other participants who are also fellow bloggers and influencers in all the activities in each checkpoints.

The event was officiated by Dato’ Mohd Zain Hassan, CEO of Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, and also attended by Tuan Sharudin bin Hamid, Director of SWCorp Pahang.

There are a few points that I have learned from this activities:
1⃣ Dispose garden wastage like tree branches and bamboos the proper way, so that it is safe for Alam Flora staff during rubbish collection.

2⃣ “Beach comber” is used to clean up the beach around Teluk Cempedak, which removes rubbish like cigarette butts, plastic bottles and cans from the sandy beach.

3⃣ Segregate recycleables into 3 main categories – paper, plastic and others, and sell them to any Buy Back Centre or 3R on wheels. Earn when you recycle.

4⃣ 1 Supervisor 1 Transformation Area (1S1T) program, an initiative by supervisors of Alam Flora to improve the surroundings of their servicing area, an effort giving back to the community. They beautify the area, build playground and garden, make and paint sculptures with recycled rubber tyres and many more.

5⃣ Dining with tiffin containers to avoid using ‘single-use plastic’, is a more environmental-friendly way to pack food. Also, avoid food wastage can help to reduce methane gas which contribute to global warming.

6⃣ Plant more trees to make the Earth greener.

I was lucky enough to win a prize for one of the tasks we had to do throughout the event – Saya Sayang Bumi, Tree Planting (Blogger category). Very grateful to my team mates and glad to know other fellow blogger and influencer friends with the same passion and interest.

You can also be a part of this effort and join Alam Flora’s “Manage My Waste” TikTok Vlog Contest. Head over to @alamflorasdnbhd or this click this link for more information.

A Daytrip to Seremban

#throwback of our trip to #Seremban

The fried kuey teow with etxra cockles was delicious! We shared among ourselves cause the portion was quite generous.

Went to the centipede temple as it was recommended by a friend, and it was quite near to the fried kuey teow coffeeshop.

Enjoyed strolling around town, doing nothing much, but just admiring the surroundings and trying to hunt for surprises.

The street murals were definitely a surprising discovery for us. Didn’t expect so many colours in our short trip.

Short trips like this should happen more often! 🚙

Interesting spots (Google Map):
📍Pin Xiang Lou Restaurant
📍Siew Pao Master
📍Macao Emper Tart
📍Wu Gong San Chinese Temple
📍Pasar Besar Seremban
📍Lorong Seni (Seni Seremban)

Checking in at Hotel Capitol’s 10Rooms

Located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Capitol Kuala Lumpur @hotelcapitolkualalumpur is one of hotels located in the most strategic spot in the city. It is next to the iconic Sungei Wang and Low Yat Plaza. Other nearby shopping malls are Lot 10, Pavilion KL and Times Square. Very convenient and easy to find all kinds of food and entertainment. Restaurants, cafes, fast food, street food, luxury shopping, grocery stores, convenient stores, you name it, you have it!

This time, my wife and I had a #staycation in one of Hotel Capitol’s 10Rooms which are only available on the 19th and 20th floor of the hotel building. Stylish and contemporary designed with cosy ambience and spacious.

The view from the windows is amazing! The best is it comes with a bath tub. Very suitable for honeymoon couples and even to those with young children too.

I managed to make some time for a short workout in their exclusive gym. Very private and comfortable to use. Well equipped with dumbbells and cable machines. There is also a small space for my wife to practice her yoga.

The only minus-point is the parking, which is located in Low Yat Plaza across the road. This could be slightly inconvenient to those who travel with many luggage and bags as you need to carry them from the car park to take the lift and walk across the road to the hotel lobby. However, it is complimentary for hotel guests. All you need to do is to validate the parking ticket with the hotel staff. Remember to choose parking ticket instead of using TNG card upon entering the car park at Low Yat Plaza.

Note to Capitol KL: Two of your staffs, Sunthari and Hasmadi (I hope I got their names right) were very helpful during my check-in and throughout my stay.

I am glad that I have made the right choice to stay a night here in Hotel Capitol KL.

Staycation at Tribeca KL

🙏🏼 Thank you @tribecakl for having us last weekend!

💖 My wife and I had an enjoyable staycation there. A much needed break! Located strategically near to Pavilion KL, it was very convenient to find any sort of necessities around; food, shopping malls, convenient stores, entertainment, night life and many more. You name it, you got it!

The suite itself comes with cooking facilities with utensils, fridge, washing machine, iron & ironing board, TV, hair dryer and wi-fi to name a few. It was very convenient for us to prepare our food and drinks for our tea time.

🛌 I must highlight that the bed was super comfortable to sleep in. I had one of the most sound hotel sleeps so far because the bed was hard enough to support my back for a sound sleep.

🏊🏼‍♂️ Facilities at Tribeca are very well-maintained and welcoming. There are gym pod, social pod (for leisure & entertainment), zen pod (suitable for yoga & meditation), jungle pod (for kids) and infinity swimming pools (yes, there are two!).

🥘 As for food, we had our late lunch at Wizards at Tribeca located at the Ground floor. The food there was very good and reasonably priced with a wide selection of western and fushion cuisines. Also a great place for tea & coffee!

🍳 Breakfast was served at our suite due to the new normal SOPs. All we did was to choose our preferred breakfast from the menu at the reception counter. Very convenient!

🅿️ As for parking, it is a cashless parking facility. It is advisable to use Touch N Go upon entry where guests can validate the payment to a flat rate of RM4 per entry per day, as for those using credit cards will have to pay RM9 per entry per day.

Hope this review helps! If you’re also looking for a staycation around town, check out @tribecakl

🌟 Note to TribecaKL: I must give one of your employees there a 5-star review! I couldn’t remember his name but he is a tall, thin gentleman, the bell staff at the main entrance. He was really attentive and helpful. Give this man a medal! 🥇
