Snap-othon @ Sepang Gold Coast on 1 Syawal

Gosh…! Drove one and a half hour from KL to this place called Tanjung Sepat! If we were in PLUS Highway, we would have almost reached Ipoh already… (trying to exaggerate)… Went there to hunt for food and to look for places for photography… Reached Tanjung Sepat and went to this pau place… WTF! So many people queueing for their pau’s.

The new outlet…

Variety of pau’s…

Look at the price list behind the seller… When it was our turn, she said, "No more choices. Only "mui choy" pau’s left…"

Their cute logo at the junction…

Along Lorong 4…

The inner beauty of the pau…

To me, the pau’s were so-so only lah… Definitely overrated…! Maybe because it was a "mui choy" pau which I had to take out every pieces of pork in it. (Note : Yes, I’m a pork-free person…)

Thereafter, we drove to the seaside… for the Lover’s Bridge and wanted to try out the seafood at the restaurant nearby. BUT, the restaurant was fully packed and people were jostling amongst each other. So, after snapping some photos along the bridge, we went to another restaurant for lunch…

Mein on the Lover’s Bridge…

A hole by the end the bridge… heart-shaped worr… Maybe, this is why it’s called Lover’s Bridge kot

It’s lunch time!!! Went to Baywatch Restaurant… (I thought Pamela was there… sigh… can’t even see a baby pomelo!)

Baywatch Restaurant… After waited for almost 40-minutes, our dishes arrived…

Introducing the first dish : Fried oyster with eggs… this was rather disappointing… oysters not so fresh…

Second dish : Taufu kang… to our surprise, this was good…! Find some crab meats in it… And not expensive pun

Third dish : Kangkung belacan… simply irresistable!

Last dish : Steamed prawns… disappointing…

Our lunch cost us RM50++ only for 5 pax… Quite reasonable loh

After refueling ourselves, we drove to Sepang Gold Coast, which was like how many hours away already…?! No, too far lah…

Let’s fly kite!

Bubble water… Bought one for Mein to play… She chosed the green one…

Colourful windmills…

Blowing bubbles…

Love birds in Gold Coast…

I like this photo that I took… with my baby EOS…

The Snap-othon team…

After snapping here and there, we called the day off… Drove to Kajang for sate!!! Hurray!!!

This is it! The best sate in town… Nyok Lan Kajang Sate…

Read the statement before you eat…

Their operating hours : 9am – 11pm…

Yummy yummy! Grilled chicken wings and ketupat…

Kajang sate – chicken and mutton… and the delicious dipping sauce…

What a tiring trip?! But it was definitely fun… Getting ready for the next day pulak… Another snap-othon with another group of people on Raya kedua…
My Personal

September Babies’ Gift Exchange Day

It’s September again!!! And it’s my first time, knowing so many September babies in one place! We had a small gift exchange ceremony in the office yesterday (which coincide with Mui Mui’s birthday. So give face to her worr…)

5 beautifully wrapped prezzies…!

Came out with a gift-drawing mechanisme by pasting these cartoon pictures on the prezzies and each participant draw out their own matching picture to get their respective gifts…

This is the gift I brought… with the most popular wrapping paper…

Mui Mui and her huge prezzie…

Pinky posing with hers… (I like the wrapper o…)

Pui Wan holding the prezzie she brought…

Mei gives a "V" sign with her prezzie…

Everybody, say cheese!!!

Anxiously trying to open the rolled papers to see the matching pictures…

Look at me, posing with the small piece of paper…

Yeah!!! Each of us got our exchanged gifts liao…! Mui Mui got mine, I got Mui Mui’s, Mei got Pinky’s, Pinky got Pui Wan’s and Pui Wan got Mei’s…

After unwrapping the gifts… here’s what we’ve got!!! I use mine in the office… Hehehe…

Such a happy event… should have it more often!!! Hahahaha!
Siti Nurhaliza

I *heart* Tahajjud Cinta

Tahajjud Cinta, Siti’s latest album was finally released on 9 September 2009. It’s a different from her previous albums as this is more towards spiritual songs. Went to buy it in Mid Valley. At first, I tried Jusco, but sold out! Got it from Speedy though. Nice cover and pictures inside. The most important, her voice is still as beautiful as ever!

Share with you a funny incident when I went to ask the salesperson in Jusco about the album.

“Ada album terbaru Siti?”

The salesperson pointed at Lentera Timur (which was Siti’s previous album)

“Bukan ni lah. Yang terbaru punya.”

“Yang baru punya semua lagu Islam!”

“Itu yang saya nak! Ada tak?”

“Sold out. Yang paling last, I tengah play. Kalau u nak, I boleh bagi.”

Thinking for awhile as it’s not 100% new… “Tak pe lah.”

“U peminat Siti ke?”

Proudly saying this : “YES!”

This incident has actually made me realised that –
Music has NO limit. It’s always human who limit themselves.

Walk Walk Eat Eat in Ipoh

It’s time to go home… On the way back to KL, drove down to Ipoh for lunch and ‘jalan jalan’

Look for this road and things will never go wrong…

Got our souvenirs here… Heong peng, kai chai peng, sat keh mah, pomelo and etc…

Browsing through the food display…

Huge pamela … opps… pomeloes…

Look for this sharp pink building for salted chicken and ducks… According to a friend, she said it’s the most famous one in town…

Quite cheap also… And look at the photos at the side… DJ’s from MyFM also dined here before…

We bought one salted chicken and stopped by here to eat… You can actually eat in the restaurant itself but we were trying to be a little bit more adventurous…

Step-by-step how to open the salted chicken :

Step 1 :

Step 2 :

Step 3 :

Step 4 :

Step 5 :

Saw a big outlet of 100 Yen opposite Ipoh Parade… If you are aware, my favourite shaved ice is served here!!! Yeah!!!

Gigantic prosperous cat… so round geh…?

At this outlet, they even serve other drinks and food as well…

My favourite flavours : Mango, Strawberry and Peanut!!! Yummy yummy!

Drove another few hours back to KL… We were stuck in a jam for almost 1 hour plus in Tapah area… Due to an accident on the OPPOSITE road… Can you imagine how "caring" Malaysians can be?! (F**K OFF and drive… Don’t stop…!)

Walk Walk Eat Eat in Penang (Again) – Day 2

Early in the morning, we went swimming in Mein’s brother’s house… Had so much fun there especially with the see-thru glass by the side… Looking from outside into the pool was like looking into a huge aquarium… Haha!

Swimming pool from 14th floor…

In the afternoon, we walked around the hotel area again. Found this small shop selling egg tarts and other bakeries…

2 egg tarts + 2 chicken char siew puffs + 1 yam puff + 2 salted egg puffs

Chowrasta Market… About 20-minutes walk from hotel…

Buying some biscuits and local food as souvenirs…

Half way through our journey, my old sandals (black) torn apart at the side. Hunted around for slippers and found the green one… RM3.99 only! Hahaha!

At night, we went to the food court by the sea side in Kota Lama for my favourite food…

This one serves the best fried oyster and ‘balitong’… But the cook will warn you first if you need to wait long… And true enough, you’ll have to wait long… But it’s really worth it!

This one serves the best rojak!

Rojak for only RM5… big portion…

Look! My favourite ‘balitong’… Yum yum… The wait was really worthwhile…

Fried oyster… Delicious! Must try!!!
