What’s going on?

Have not been updating the blog for quite some time. Well, actually there are a lot to share. It’s just that I do not have the time. Let me briefly update what have happened in my life since last update…
 
1) Bought a house in Bukit Jalil @ Kinrara Mas. The loan agreement has yet to be settled. The lawyer is just delaying the whole process. Hopefully can settle before 1 Feb – the date the developer is billing me. If not, I’ll have to write a letter to waive for whatever penalty charges that the bank is going to charge later. I just hate the lawyer for being to slow. It’s the appointed lawyer by the developer. It’s so unfair! But anyhow, the house will be ready in end of 2009. Let’s cross our fingers.
 
2) Got my first published article in a magazine – Plan Your Own Holiday magazine issue Jan/Feb 2008. It’s about my trip to Taiping. I went to Taiping with Mein on her birthday. It’s a surprise trip for her where she is not being told where we were going when we started our journey. Until have way, I told her that we were going to Taiping. She was so happy and surprised. On her birthday itself (after staying a night in Taiping), another surprise was that I fetched her back to Penang without letting her know in advance. Her parents were shocked and surprised as well! We had dinner at Tao Cuisine – steamboat.
 
3) Mein flew to China for a week starting from 24 – 31 Dec 07. My worst Christmas ever. No celebration and no loved one being with… Sad She was sent by her company to lead a tour.
 
4) My workload has been added and taking over some reporting jobs from my Assistant Operation Manager. But I do not see any increment just yet. Crossing fingers again.
 
Roughly, these are all that have been happening lately…

Stardust – a must watch!

Mein and I attended the preview of “Stardust” in KLCC last Wednesday and I found out that it is a very good movie! Well, at least for its kind of genre. It’s very different from Narnia, the-ever-dragging Lord of the Ring trilogy or the-ever-boring Harry Porter never-ending-logy.

 

It was an event to preview of Jimmy Choo “Stardust” Limited Edition shoe. To me, it’s just another socializing kind of event for the not-so-rich-but-rich and not-so-famous-but-famous group of people.

 

Well, Mein & I indeed enjoyed the movie very much. We loved the starting, the ending, the whole story line and the love story between Tristan and Yvaine, the star, the eagerness of the magical witches to capture the star and the funny Captain Shakespeare who is so keen to keep Tristan and Yvaine safe. It’s a “must watch” movie for everyone.

 

Oh, for your information the ending will end like this… “And they lived happily ever after…”

Travel

Just another mall…

Once the location of the ever famous Bukit Bintang Girls’ School (BBGS), is now the newly built Pavillion shopping mall. There are a lot of new and big malls built in the country in the past 10 years. For instance, Mid Valley Megamall, Berjaya Times Square, The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, One Utama (1U) New Wing, AEON City all around Malaysia, Queens Bay Mall in Penang and a few others in other parts of Malaysia. Pavillion is just another one in the whole lot and it is located in one of the busiest spot in KL for the past half century, Bukit Bintang.

 

Well, I went there to “survey” the location and found out that it is indeed just another big mega mall which caters the rich and famous. Most of the shops are high-end brands which only serve the Platinum level kind of customers. (Isn’t it a too limited market?!).

 

Personally, I still think that Sungai Wang in Bukit Bintang is the best spot for all level of community. Anyhow, the growing number of mega malls in the country shows the growing economy and it definitely encourages and welcomes oversea investors to invest in the country. A positive sign, but yet, it is still just another big mega mall to me… Don't tell anyone

My Personal

Non Medical Representative

I had my first chance to become a non-medical rep (NMR) for the company to pick up a patient from Medan and send him to Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC). I’ve always wanted to become a NMR for a long time. Well, I had to take a monorail to KLIA and wait for the patient in the arrival hall. After he’s arrived, brought him to take the limo pick up arranged by my fellow colleagues to SJMC. I felt so excited throughout the whole journey.
 
I have found something that not everyone has the chance to do. I still remember having an ambition to become a doctor or nurse when I grew up. Eventually the dream is now a fairy tale but at least in the company that I’m working at now, I have got the chance to work with doctors & nurses. I can now coordinate medical related cases to help patients. The feeling is much better than becoming a doctor myself. I salute my colleagues who has been in the team for so long. They are simply the best people that I have worked with. What I can see in them is to help others (those whom you do not know) without any conditions. Way to go!
