“Snap-othon” @ Taman Pertanian, Shah Alam (Part 2)

A peacock… trapped in a cage with another 2…

Spiderweb and spiderman…

Erm… what’s this called?

This was the Rabbit Garden I meant earlier… there was no rabits available but the only one we saw was this one! You go in from the mouth and come out from the butt…

Fernleaf…

Two crickets on a fern… took me awhile to take this snap… but still not perfect!

Now this is my favourite one… glowing bright yellow…

It was summer when we were there…

Beautiful…

This is the look-out tower where we climbed on top and looked around… Be careful of the steps…

Overall it was quite fun to walk around the jungle environment with animals and plants surrounding us. But I do hope that the management of this park can sit down and look into matters to improve the place. Not to say it is not properly maintained. It’s also full of unwanted rubbish. Please put our money into good use ya! 🙂

“Snap-othon” @ Taman Pertanian, Shah Alam (Part 1)

It’s been a long time I haven’t been to Taman Pertanian, Bukit Cherakah, Shah Alam. The condition there was much worse compared to the last time I was there a few years back. I wonder what they do with the collection of RM3 per pax entrance fee. Most of the facilities there were not properly maintained. For example; padi field looks like an unclaimed land, Rabbit Garden with no rabbits, Mushroom House closed with not a single mushroom available. It’s rather disappointing. Even the most famous attraction, the 4-Season House was with water dripping from the ceiling. However, there were great scenes which caught my eyes and I immediately loved and snapped them with my baby EOS.

Bicycle rental shop… right near the entrance…

Rental fee… we didn’t rent any as there were buses…

The desserted padi field…

Very much poorly maintained props…

The entrance to the Animal Garden…

Porcupines… eee, will they shoot us?

"Hello! Hello! I’m a talking parrot"

This is a cock… (or better call it rooster)

How to differentiate a pony and a horse? I duno!!!

A horse… in its ring beside the stable…

To be continued… (in Part 2)

Celebrating Mother’s Day & popo’s birthday

We had a Mother’s Day-cum-popo’s birthday celebration yesterday in Legend Hotel. It’s her 70th birthday. So much memories flashed back in my mind whenever I think of popo. She’s a super lady who’s taken care of her children, grandchildren and even others’ children very well. I still remember the time when I was small, I always liked to go to her house and play. There were so many sweet memories. She’s also a great chef! I love her cookings so much. NO one else can beat her. (really, NO ONE!)

3 generations… 三代同堂

Popo and her birthday cake… It’s shaped like a peach (bought from Bread Story)… 寿桃蛋糕

A basket of red eggs… chicken and duck eggs to be exact… 一粒鸡,一粒鸭,活到一百!(Cantonese saying : one chicken egg, one duck egg, live until one hundred of age)

We Were in Bali (Part 3)

Third day of our ground travel, our first destination was GWK park. What can I say about this place? Hmm… A not-yet-completed-and-still-raising-fund-for-construction park. This place is actually meant to be the home for the tallest statue of Wishnu and his Garuda.

This is a replica of the soon-to-be completed huge statue.

This is Wishnu, the largest statue… But this is just a part of him. The other parts are still in progress…

Next, we found ourselves in the Uluwatu Temple with monkeys surrounding us everywhere! I love the beautiful blue sky and sea… This pictures are not treated at all… So you can imagine how blue the sky and sea are…

The other side facing Uluwatu Temple… I love horizon…

Cam-whoring with Mein…

Had lunch at Blue Point… Mein posing in front of the camera…

So this was the "crime scene"… Mein and I witnessed the fire while we were at this area to have breakfast… When we came back, these few shops were burnt to ashes…

Selamat Datang di Pantai Kuta (should be "ke" kan?)… This funny girl striked a pose with Mein for this picture.. She was so funny that she asked me if I want her autograph… Hahaha!

A cow jumping in Kuta beach…

This is the most special drink I’ve ever had in Bali… Condensed milk + sirap + santan (wild guess) + soda = SODA GEMBIRA… Delicious!

We walked around Kuta and Legian on our final day… snap snap snap again the whole day…

This was taken in Uluwatu lace shop… It’s a beautiful classical lace shop which displayed highly elegant laced items…

We Were in Bali (Part 2)

Our second day of ground tour, it was the day I fell in love… with a Barong. Barong is a mythical creature of Balinese folks’ tales. It’s a kind creature which is highly respected by the people.

The Barong dance – almost an hour performance. It’s a story about how the Barong helped to scare away the evil spirit.

Got a chance to go on stage and took a picture with the Garuda statue…

Another picture of Barong. This is a painting found in an art gallery. I tried to take this picture by turning the lense while snapping, to give it a moving effect.

This was taken at Kintamani volcano. Nothing much here… But a very long journey to reach this place.

Coffee plantation… tumbuk-tumbuk biji kopi… Hehehe…

Someone praying in the Holy Water temple… Each water outlet represents one symbolic meaning.

The Kecak Dance – a beautiful dance performed with human voice music…
