MAGGI® is back with its six-episode reality show, Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2. From a pool of 2,000 women, 12 mentees made the cut to take on a series of culinary and entrepreneurial challenges for the grand champion title.

The reality show returns with its three prominent MAGGI® Mentors – Food Enthusiast and Brand Ambassador of MAGGI® CukupRasa, Datin Paduka Eina Azman; Director, Producer, Actress and Owner of The Dim Sum Place, Sheila Rusly; and Entrepreneur Icon and Owner of My Mum’s Bakery, Anne Idris – who will nurture the 12 mentees throughout the reality series in various Feedback Mentorship Sessions. For Season 2 which is hosted by Nana Mahazan (also the host for Season 1), the series will feature four celebrity guest judges – Stacy Anam, Betty Rahmad, Aisya J, and Chef Sherson Lian.

“We are excited to showcase the second season of the reality show to help further upskill and empower more women in terms of enhancing their business acumen, whilst providing them with a platform to both shine and achieve their dreams. Watch how the mentees step outside their comfort zones, undergo hurdles, build their self-confidence, and grow guided by MAGGI’s experienced Mentors and our new line-up of celebrity guest judges!”

“The MAGGI reality show aims to showcase and celebrate the mentees’ transformational journey in growing a food business to inspire women to take the leap of faith and embark on something new, ushering in positive change and improvement into their lives. We have witnessed discernible transformation in the mentees who won in the first season, and how they have truly inspired and impacted the lives of many others too,”

said Geetha Balakrishna, Business Executive Officer of MAGGI®, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.

Besides receiving a seed capital of RM8,000, the grand winner of the Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2 will undergo an intensive 8-week mentorship programme with entrepreneur icon, Anne Idris, focusing on upscaling a food business, managing branding strategies and cost efficiencies.

The Second and Third place winners will receive a seed capital of RM5,000 each.

Resipi Berani MAGGI® is a culmination of the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®, which aims to inspire more women to step out of their comfort zones, embracing the ‘Tak Kenal, Tak Cinta’ (‘Never Try, Never Know’) spirit. The programme is hosted in partnership between MAGGI® and Google Malaysia, featuring a series of Bengkel Online Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® focusing on building self-confidence, improving business skills through digital upskilling and enhancing cooking skills. The 12 finalists in the Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2 are:

  • Nurul Hajar Ismail (Johor)
  • Rozana Sari binti Roslan (Pahang)
  • Suzaimi binti Zahari (Terengganu)

I am very honoured to be invited to attend the Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2 – Exclusive Watch Party last Wednesday and I must say I had fun watching Episode 1 with my fellow bloggers. I still remember the hall had a good laugh from the reactions of the mentors especially the witty Sheila Rusly and also some finalists who gave spontaneous and unexpected answers to the questions asked by the mentors. There was one saying that she loves menembak (shooting) and everyone in the watch party laughed so hard at her impetuous answer. Eventually she used to be a military reserve force. Bang! Bang!

Catch the episode for more excitement and see how these ladies learn to build their cooking hobby into a profitable business.

The upcoming Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2 reality show will be aired at 4.30 pm on TV3 every Friday for 6 weeks beginning 8 July, with a repeat at 11.30 am on Saturday. Viewers can also stream the episodes through MAGGI®’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/maggimalaysia) from 5.00 pm every Friday, 8 July onwards.

FREE Movie again! – Unbeatable 激戰

Image

Hurray!!! Won 2 FREE movie tickets (this time from KLIPS). The movie is 激戰 (Unbeatable). The step to win this movie was simple. Just share a link from KLIPS on my Facebook and Twitter. And done!

I have been eyeing on this movie for quite some time. After the young Malaysian actress, Crystal Lee 李馨巧 won the Best Actress award and Nick Cheung 張家輝 won Best Actor award in the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival last June.

Such a great honour for being able to be in the movie premier.

I don’t think I want to share with you about what this movie is about. But let me share my feelings after watching it. This movie is definitely worth your money. Not only you can see the dedication of each main actors, namely Nick, Crystal and Eddie Peng 彭於晏, you can also see what Mixed Martial Art (MMA) is all about!

Being someone who has been involved in working out; gym, COBC bootcamp and MetCon X, I could really feel the intensity and pain both the two main actors have gone through prior shooting. OMG! Every part of the body. Every muscle is screaming in pain… every minute, every second. But the outcome is what we can witness in the movie. Toned, abs, chest, arms, legs, muscles. (Suddenly, Eddie Peng became my motivation).

Found some clips on Youtube. Let’s watch the clips below. Don’t forget to watch the movie in the cinema fast. You won’t regret.

Avatar : Before & After

BEFORE :

AFTER :

Frankly speaking, after watching Avatar, I wondered why were there so many movie-goers who loved it so much and highly appraising this movie. To me, it’s just another money-earning, commercialized film which did not impress me. I, personally, am not into sci-fi and fictional movies as I couldn’t relate the story to the real world.

If this movie is about love, well, I do agree that love could be across the border at times… But I don’t believe falling in love with an "alien"…

If this movie is about the environment, I think it could be better if the story is about people saving our earth. But not some other planet called Pandora… (BTW, the names used are so fake, dull and inconvincing)…

If this movie is about the ugly side of human-beings, well, why don’t they talk about our own human race disgracing our own planet and animals, creating war against other countries, polluting the earth and other shameful stuff people do.

I just couldn’t relate the whole idea to us…

Anyway, I got the tickets free. So, I have no objections watching it at the first place.

P/S : I am not against the movie creator or his team. I am just writing my feelings as someone who is not a sci-fi movie lover (like how some non-drama movie lovers do)

Muallaf Gala Premiere

Won 4 tickets from AMBP (Thanks Michael!) to the Gala Premiere of Muallaf. Waited so long for it to show in Malaysia. Finally the wait was worth it!

Our tickets…

It was such a surprise that a Meet-and-Greet session was arranged for us with the cast of the film. It was too sad that Yasmin couldn’t join us. I’m sure she’ll be too happy to know that we are all here to support her hard work… Thanks Yasmin for the great movie…

A blur picture taken with Brian Yap… A newcomer with massive potential… I do look forward for more of your work! 🙂

OMG! I was flanked between two Sharifah’s!!! Sharifah Armani and Sharifah Aleysha… woot… Armani has always been a great actress since ‘Sepet’ while Aleysha in ‘Mukhsin’

Dear Sharifah’s, if both of you happen to come across my blog, what I would want you gals to know is — Never stop making great films. Not only you speak for yourselves in the movies, you also speak for us in your own perculiar way… Job well done!

Dear Yasmin, you will always be missed… deeply…

Sumimasen,Love
