I made some wholesome breakfast for the family with @bega.malaysia cheese. My favourite is Bega Super Slims as I am watching my weight lately. Other family’s favourites are Bega Cheddar Slices and Bega Tatura Salted Butter. Both are great to eat with bread, croissants and crackers. Of course, we enjoyed these with some fresh fruits and coffee. Delicious!
I choose dairy products from Bega, an Australian brand because they offer a wide range of nutritional and high quality cheese and butter since 1899, as well as dairy products suitable for baking and cooking too. Their products are also manufactured to stringent specifications using internationally accredited manufacturing facilities. I also admire their continual effort in product innovation and investing in new recipe development and food solutions.
I have always wanted to visit Turkey, but well, it’s still a dream for me now. However, it’s not a dream to enjoy authentic and delightful Turkish cuisine now right here in Kuala Lumpur!
Turkish Cuisine has always been an important element in Turkish culture for its legendary flavours and creative presentations. Hence, Turkish Cuisine Week has been declared from 21 May to 27 May to appreciate the deep-rooted culinary tradition of Turkiye.
I am very honoured to be invited to attend the Gala Dinner to launch Turkish Cuisine Week, organised by the Turkish Embassy Tourism & Information Office in Kuala Lumpur and hosted by H.E Ambassador Dr Merve Safa Kavakci, Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia held at Shangri-la Hotel on 17th May 2022. The Gala Dinner was attended by Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, government officials, local chefs, invited guests, media and influencers.
I got the opportunity to try various types of Turkish cuisine that evening – for example – Doner & Ekmek, Tandir (Lamb leg confit) on Ic pilav (rice with lamb liver and sultanas), Hunkar begendi (slow cooked veal on hot eggplant rague), Kuzu sis (lamb skewer), Tavuk sis (chicken skewer), Kadinbudu kofte (fried minced lamb & rice), Eksili kofte (minced lamb balls stew) and Izmir kofte (minced beef stew with potato). Not forgetting their delicious desserts like Sekerpare (pistachio cookies with syrup), Firin Sutlac (oven baked rice & milk pudding), Cevizli kabak (pumpkin confit with walnut), Irmik Helvasi (Semolina Halwa) and many more!
There was live music throughout the dinner time and a Turkish coffee demonstration too. As a coffee-lover myself, this was really an amazing experience for me to witness this myself. And guess who’s lucky that night? I won a beautiful Turkish ceramic vase by Blue Eyes Gift Shop in the lucky draw! Yayyy!!!
For those who wish to indulge in Turkish Cuisine, you can visit the Lemon Garden, Shangri-la Hotel from 21 May to 27 May and the buffet is priced at RM168 nett (Tuesday – Thursday) and RM188 nett (Friday – Sunday & Public Holiday) for lunch; RM188 nett (Tuesday – Thursday) for dinner and RM248 nett (Friday – Sunday) for the premium dinner where guests can also array of seafood and local Malaysian cuisine.
Did you know? 🌱 Love Earth offers a wide variety of organic products including cooking seasoning, sauce, sugar, nuts, granola, dried fruit and many more!
Three Legs Cooling Water has been a popular brand of many households since I was younger. I have heard and know about its famous drink that is effective to cool down body heatiness.
Lately, I was surprised when I got to know that @capkakitigamy has recently introduced the Three Legs Cooltopia Cooling Water. It comes in three interesting flavours of the Juicy Guava, Luscious Lychee and the latest one, Zesty Lime.
It is a perfect to relieve heatiness especially after consuming oily & fried foods, durian or even excessive spicy foods, especially when we have sore throat and mouth ulcers. Besides that, I normally have it after workout to cool down and stay hydrated.
These Coolicious cooling water drinks are now available on their website and nearby convenience stores around you.
