My Most Anticipated Race, the KL Rat Race 2012

I have been looking forward to run in the KL Rat Race since I started working. And finally after all these years, I got to be one of the representatives from my current employment. It’s a 4.5km run on 25 Sept 2012. It’s like an early birthday gift.

I finished the race in 25:24s. It was such an honour to have a chance to rep the company. Thank you, F&N!

Larian Hijau MPSP : I Conquered Seberang Perai

My third half marathon this year. First, I did Bukit Jalil. Then, Kota Kinabalu and now, Seberang Perai. (Hmmm… now only I noticed all the names have 2 syllabus). It was quite tough this round compared to KK. Not sure why. I was physically worn out especially the legs. There was also a stretch of route which is heavily contaminated with rubbish smell. As we started early in the morning, some locations were poorly litted due to no street light. This is another part of Malaysia which need urgent attention.

I finished my 21 km in 2:23. Not my PB though.

The medal is as big as our old 50 sen coin, I liked it as it is something different.

Crossfit Challenge with Emerge KL

image

I was invited to participate, representing team VU, in the crossfit challenge, organized by Emerge KL. It was divided into 4 segments. First was last man standing of squat hold, which I got second behind Joe Liew. Second was last man standing of plank hold which I emerged as the title holder, beating favourites like Joe Liew and Wee Liam. Third, last man standing of thrusters. Thomas Ong of VU lasted second. Lastly was a mystery challenge which was being announced on-the-spot. It was a race of pulling and carrying tyre. VU fought to its best and we succeeded to go for gold. We were crowned the champion for the crossfit challenge.

Thanks Yin Har, Thomas and David Oh for giving me a chance to fight this challenge with you all. Job well done!
