Spending Quality Time with the Boys

It’s a day I’ve been waiting for… to swim with the boys, Yang and Ren in Tropicana. They are my kai che’s (god-sister) sons. This year, Yang is 8 and Ren is 5. I like to play with them and on that day, we went to Sg. Buloh to buy some orchids after our swimming session & lunch. We then went back home and played "Operation" for one or two rounds before I leave.

Celebrating the 1st Primatz’s Birthday of 2009

It’s Mey Jian’s turn again… which indirectly reminded everyone that we are turning another year older. Sigh… But as tradition, it has always been successful to celebrate every primatz’s birthday annually. This round, we had it in Prince Cafe in SS2.

Welcoming Ox Year 2009!

Chinese New Year is just around the corner again!!! I believe most of us are well-prepared for the auspicious day. A colleague of Mein gave her a box of home-made cupcakes to her as her farewell gift-cum-CNY gift. Very cute! Her friend made them on her own. How thoughtful…

And frankly speaking, I have been in a dilemma whether to start giving out angpows this year or not, as Mein & I are lawfully married. However, we have come out with a conclusion of NOT giving away any angpows this year because, to be exact, we are still NOT traditionally married. Meaning we have yet go through any Chinese customs like the traditional tea-drinking ceremony and bride-fetching ceremony still. So, in a nutshell, WE ARE NOT GIVING OUT ANGPOWS (yet) THIS YEAR!!!

Therefore, if anyone I know as me for angpow this year, please be prepared to be slapped! (Haha! Just kidding!) I guess I’ll just have to explain the reason again and again to anyone who ask.

WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS OX YEAR!!!

新年快乐,万事如意!

It is Officially Dead

It was bought in February 2007. It has been sent back to the factory to repair its faulty directional buttons in July 2007. By then, it was still under warranty. In May 2008, we brought it with us to our Hanoi trip and upon checking in into LCCT, it went through the custom scanning and from then onwards, it became faulty. The pictures we took became either too bright, too white or with stripes.

Sent back to the shop and requested for a quotations of repair. They came back to us after more than one month waiting. The price for repair is RM450 which is to replace its lense. I told them "No, thanks!"

And today, I officially pronounce it "DEAD!"

Night Before Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Spent a warm Christmas eve dinner with family yesterday. Had pizzas, fishballs, dim sums (Yes! Dim sum for dinner!) and fruit rojak. It’s just a closed and average dinner.

Also took out the once-a-year X’mas tree and started decorating it. As a tradition, we had a gift exchange session among the siblings and ma. Our budget this year is RM7.

That’s how an average Christmas should be and we love it! Enjoyed ourselves to the max.
