Trip to Hong Kong & Macau

A lot of my friends asked : "How’s your trip to Hong Kong & Macau?"

My respond will be "Excellent!!!".

Truely enough, we really enjoyed ourselves in HK & Macau… especially in HK Disneyland. It’s like a dream come true kind of experience… Mickey Mouse and his friends were actually moving and jiggling around "live in-person" while most of the time previously, they were all in the TV only. For me, it’s a real good feeling… At the end of the trip to Disneyland, there was the 10-mins firework show at the Sleeping Beauty castle and it’s so beautiful!!! Nothing can replace my memories in HK Disneyland up till today… It’s the best experience and trip I’ve ever have… More over, I had it with the love of my life.

Well, besides Disneyland, we too enjoyed ourselves in multimedia lighting performance in Victoria Harbour. It’s such a spectacular scene and I will always remember how the lights on a building got coordinated with the sound effects and there were such a big crowd there waiting for the show prior to the starting time. Traveling around by MTR is also very convenient unlike how it is in the home country. I just loved how the trains come to the station promptly without fail.

The only thing we have problem was finding food with no pork. As a consumer who do not eat pork, it’s hard to find food without pork in HK. Even their McD’s have pork sausage muffins. But, of course, we managed to survived through the hardship. Talking about food, throughout the whole trip, we always order one plate of food and share because the portion of the food in HK are always enough for the two of us! Nice huh?! Another tip to save!

Took a lot of photos in HK… We actually went to look for its mosque and it looks absolutely different from those found in Malaysia. Also visited their local post office and purchased a set of stamps as souvenir for myself.

On the other hand, Macau was not as exciting. It’s rather dull for us who are not into gambling. There are casinos all over Macau and other than that, nothing else. Well, at least to my expectation. However, it’s a place where produces good food like almond cookies and Portuguese egg-tarts. Very tasty!!!

Also a lot of my friends asked me about the budget. Well, for me (as usual as a smart consumer), I spent less than MYR 2,000.00 for each of us for the whole trip. I’m really glad that I have a thrifty partner who can actually cooperate and spend wisely with me.

Special Toilets in KL?!

DO you know that there’s is this thing called The No-Man Operated Toilet here in Malaysia?! I heard that it can wash itself out every now and then and you need to pay just a mere 20 sen to use it for 15-mins. The door will open automatically after 15-mins… Scary huh?!

I’ve seen one in front of Lot 10 and another right opposite the Dang Wangi LRT station near the Bukit Nanas forest.
Food & Drink

Food Review @ Flamenco

Just got back from Flamenco… Won a RM50.00 voucher to dine there and here we come to invade the restaurant!!! Indeed it’s one of the recommended restaurants in the country by Tatler’s. The food there is delicious and it has all it takes to become one of the best restaurants in Malaysia – the environment, the service and the “PRICE”…

There was a table across our table with middle-aged uncles and aunties, talking about their experiences in London, Melbourne & where ever they’ve been to… Mein & I were there enjoying listening to their conversation. How I wish to become one of them in the coming future – enjoying life with a group of close friends in a good environment with good food and drink.

Anyhow, Mein & I ordered our food, drink and dessert. Mein ordered Fettuccini with Lamb Tenderloin in Black Pepper while I had Linguini with Scallops & Salmon Slices. We ordered just one drink, Snowy Mango and a dessert, Chocolate Indulgence.

What I liked about my dish is the sauce. It was extremely rich with cheese taste and creamy. Yum! Yum! What I didn’t like about it was the salmon. They were not really cooked. They still have the fishy taste. Overall, the dish was good but could be better if the fish were more cooked.

For Mein’s dish, what she liked about it was the lamb was tasty and not too hard to bite. The meat were marinated long enough but they still has the mutton taste in them. What she sis not like about the dish was the pasta was too thick and its got a heavy floury taste. The black pepper taste was strong too!

The drink, Snowy Mango was nice. The ice was shaved tiny enough that it melts right after being put in the mouth. As for the dessert, it’s one of the best dessert we’ve ever tasted before. The taste and excitement of the dish are indescribable in words. A recommended dessert indeed!

My Personal

Fake-sters in Paddock Lounge

BMW Paddock Lounge! What an experience… Not everyone can enter this “exclusive” lounge. Working in my current company has given me endless opportunity to experience various excitement – driving 5 different types of  BMW, driving Mini’s & yesterday, entering the “exclusive” Paddock lounge in the Pit Lane Park held in Jalan Binjai (somewhere near KLCC).

Well, drinking bottomless alcoholic drinks and eating “strange” food, in small portion is the most memorable experience in the lounge. In shortly one and half hour, I’ve drank beer, champagne, red wine & cocktail (vodka lychee). Well, nothing much besides that. Oh ya! Seeing a few local celebs is also another thing worth mentioning – Soong Ai Ling, Natasha Hudson, Stephanie Chai & any other non-celebs-acting-like-celebs kind of people. Wow! What a view!!! I’m not very sure what actually is the purpose of having this kind of function every now and then but I know that it helps those who are doing business… I can see people exchanging business cards… (as if their names will be stick into their mind…)… I’m sure they’ve forgotten one another by now. Haha! Fake-sters!!!
