Star Fitness International Yoga Day 2022

On 25 June 2022, Star Fitness gym and fitness center has organized a yoga session “Star Fitness International Yoga Day 2022” at Centro Mall Klang. This yoga session was conducted by famous local celebrity, Atilia Haron.

In conjunction with World Yoga Day 2022 on 21 June 2022, the Star Fitness International Yoga Day 2022 aims to promote yoga as one of the exercises that include mental and physical health. “There are various styles in yoga which are able to educate the soul to be in a positive state while making yourself and your body healthier,” said Mr. Syed Shaddad, Managing Director of Star Fitness.

The word yoga comes from the ancient Sanskrit “Yuj” which means to unite, connect or combine. It is a type of exercise based on three elements namely movement, breathing and meditation. As a fitness enthusiast and a yoga lover myself, I agree that by practicing yoga consistently, it helps to cope with stress, losing weight, increase strength, stability and flexibility including promote better quality sleep.

The two-hour yoga session which started at 8.00 am to 10.00 am was divided into two parts, namely Session 1 with Atilia Haron and Session 2 with Harrison Jub. Each session lasted for an hour and was attended by nearly 80 people comprising Star Fitness club members and the general public. Apart from that, the event was also attended by Malaysia’s popular celebrities and influencers such as Raden Zaharatul, Saidah Kamarudin, influencer Chan Khye, and finalists of Mr. World Malaysia 2022, El-Umar, Jack Kho, Parvin, Zaim and Raja Irshad.

Founded in March 2020, Star Fitness is confident that the organization of such health programs will be able to continue in the future and Star Fitness will continue to strive to provide the highest quality, best and most enjoyable fitness experience. Apart from having 4 clubs operating in locations such as Aeon Big Subang Jaya, Aeon Big Wangsa Maju, Viva Shopping Mall and Centro Mall Klang, the public, especially Penangites can expect several clubs to open soon in Aeon Big Seberang Jaya, Prai Penang and Aeon Big Bukit Minyak Penang.

Bottoms Lab Cool-Flex Jeans : Ultra-Stretchable, Quick-Drying, Anti-Radiation Pockets

Most probably you have read about my blog posts about Bottoms Lab Momentum Long Pants, which are my favourite pair for formal and semi-formal functions. You can read about them here and here.

Now, I would love to tell you more about my current favourite pair of jeans. It’s the newly addition, Bottoms Lab Cool-Flex Jeans.

Here are some features that I really like about the jeans:
What I like about the jeans is it is extra stretchable that I can wear it to do yoga and workout. Its ultra-stretchable fabric makes exercising in a pair of denim possible! I can easily do squats, pigeon pose, backbend, warrior pose… and many more!

It is also quick-drying. Unlike the conventional jeans that trap heat and sweat around my thighs, this one never make me feel hot nor heaty. I must say that I still sweat heavily especially when I walk around. But this one, dries very quickly. Best to wear during trips and travel.

There is also a special ‘hidden’ feature – anti-radiation pockets. The pocket fabric of this Bottoms Lab Cool-Flex Jeans is integrated with copper material to minimise smartphone radiation while carrying them, hence saving the ‘soldiers’ in our sack.

The Latest Signature Dishes in Première Hotel Klang – Kung Fu Steamed Fish and Fish Head Curry

Première Hotel Klang is introducing their latest signature dishes – Kung Fu Steamed Fish and Fish Head Curry. These unique and authentic dishes are prepared by Chinese Head Chef, San Chong Chen and his culinary team of The Royal Gourmet Restaurant and are available from July & August 2022.

I have tried them both and I must say that you should try them too!

The Kung Fu Steamed Fish is perfectly steamed, flavoured with light soy sauce and topped with cilantro, goji berry, enoki mushroom and some spring onion. I personally like the well-balanced taste of this soy sauce very much as it blends in perfectly and enhances the flavour of this dish. Kung Fu Steamed Fish is priced at RM55 nett per set.

Another dish is the Fish Head Curry – definitely a must-try for all fish head curry lovers. The curry is extremely rich and savoury that comes with a thick fish curry gravy base – a concoction of fish curry powder, evaporated milk, curry leaves and topped with eggplant, tomatoes, crunchy long beans and fried beancurd – perfect for 2 to 3 servings in one portion. Definitely taste authentic and flavourful, best served with rice. Fish Head Curry is available at RM38 nett per set.

Aromatherapy-based Treatment with Urban Bliss Wellness for Holistic Relaxation

Urban Bliss Wellness is located on the 3rd floor of Mercure Living Putrajaya, provides holistic health and wellness treatments like relaxing body massage, foot reflexology, aromatherapy massage, facial, body scrub, jacuzzi and many more!

I just went to Urban Bliss Wellness for a 180-minute Journey package; complete with their Signature Respite full body aromatherapy massage with manual lymphatic drainage, body scrub and Rebalance facial. After so long, finally I get to enjoy some total relaxation here. Not only was my whole body taken care of, the whole session took place in a very comfortable environment with soothing and relaxing music being aired and kept my mind calm and serene. The surrounding was filled with an aromatic scent that smelled very pleasant.

The treatment started off with a welcome drink. The friendly staff there explained to me their packages and then invited me to the foot washing area. After cleaning my feet, I was ushered to one of their massage rooms for a full body scrub, full body massage and facial treatment. I noticed that the massage technique here is very different from other places that I have been. Every rub and knead is light and gentle on the surface but firm and reaches deep to release tight and tension muscles. They use their own aromatherapy oil too. So the whole session smelled great! My session ended with a relaxing facial treatment. My skin felt so soft and hydrated after the session.

For me, I really like the overall feel that this treatment has given me. Throughout the session, I felt pampered and relaxed. The staff there were very friendly too. There are even a few VIP rooms and a couple room with jacuzzi tub, very suitable for honeymoon couples and newlyweds. Definitely a great place to recharge and rejuvenate.
