Cyber Eco Hunt 2022 – Towards A Sustainable Future

I am so glad that I have the opportunity to play a small role in this meaningful event Cyber Eco Hunt 2022 by @alamflorasdnbhd with the theme “Towards A Sustainable Future” in Kuantan, Pahang.

The event aims to show commitment by Kumpulan Alam Flora and their continuous effort to reduce 40% recyclable wastage sent to disposal sites towards 2025. I had so much fun with the other participants who are also fellow bloggers and influencers in all the activities in each checkpoints.

The event was officiated by Dato’ Mohd Zain Hassan, CEO of Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, and also attended by Tuan Sharudin bin Hamid, Director of SWCorp Pahang.

There are a few points that I have learned from this activities:
1⃣ Dispose garden wastage like tree branches and bamboos the proper way, so that it is safe for Alam Flora staff during rubbish collection.

2⃣ “Beach comber” is used to clean up the beach around Teluk Cempedak, which removes rubbish like cigarette butts, plastic bottles and cans from the sandy beach.

3⃣ Segregate recycleables into 3 main categories – paper, plastic and others, and sell them to any Buy Back Centre or 3R on wheels. Earn when you recycle.

4⃣ 1 Supervisor 1 Transformation Area (1S1T) program, an initiative by supervisors of Alam Flora to improve the surroundings of their servicing area, an effort giving back to the community. They beautify the area, build playground and garden, make and paint sculptures with recycled rubber tyres and many more.

5⃣ Dining with tiffin containers to avoid using ‘single-use plastic’, is a more environmental-friendly way to pack food. Also, avoid food wastage can help to reduce methane gas which contribute to global warming.

6⃣ Plant more trees to make the Earth greener.

I was lucky enough to win a prize for one of the tasks we had to do throughout the event – Saya Sayang Bumi, Tree Planting (Blogger category). Very grateful to my team mates and glad to know other fellow blogger and influencer friends with the same passion and interest.

Malaysia Sea Star Handicraft Festival at Atria Shopping Gallery

I was at the Malaysia Sea Star Handicraft Festival in Atria Shopping Gallery this noon and I was really excited to see so many handicraft booths of small businesses, especially at the Life Healing Zone!

Come and get your hands on cutting your own soap bar, check out skincare products made not only that care for your skin but also the ocean, functional oils that heal and rejuvenate our body functions, and many more!

There are many other art craft and food stalls too! Best to spend your weekend with family here.

Malaysia Sea Star Handicraft Festival will be here at Atria Shopping Gallery Level 1 – Event Hall this weekend from 11-12 June 2022 (10AM – 10PM)

Bega Cheese, My Favourite Wholesome Breakfast Choice for the Family

It’s breakfast time! 🥰

I made some wholesome breakfast for the family with @bega.malaysia cheese. My favourite is Bega Super Slims as I am watching my weight lately. Other family’s favourites are Bega Cheddar Slices and Bega Tatura Salted Butter. Both are great to eat with bread, croissants and crackers. Of course, we enjoyed these with some fresh fruits and coffee. Delicious!

I choose dairy products from Bega, an Australian brand because they offer a wide range of nutritional and high quality cheese and butter since 1899, as well as dairy products suitable for baking and cooking too. Their products are also manufactured to stringent specifications using internationally accredited manufacturing facilities. I also admire their continual effort in product innovation and investing in new recipe development and food solutions.

Such an honour to be a part of this meaningful #GoGreen effort.

Watsons Malaysia is encouraging its customers and members to embrace sustainable lifestyle by launching the ‘Green Is The New Beautiful’ campaign, happened in 1 Utama on 1 June 2022.

Watsons Malaysia is embarking on this initiative to actively encourage customers and members to embrace sustainable living. With green products and healthier choices, Watsons Malaysia hopes to share with consumers the importance of sustaining a lifestyle that benefits humankind and Mother Earth. To further create this awareness, Watsons Malaysia pledged to continue their sustainability efforts and enable customers to reduce their resource footprint by making it even easier to reuse and recycle with more refill stations, and recycling booths at their stores.

Through the ‘Green Is the New Beautiful’ campaign, Watsons Malaysia is also fostering partnerships with the Malaysian Nature Society and Zoo Negara by adopting Tapir and Milky Stork at Zoo Negara for another year and involving with a beach clean-up with the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS). These efforts are part of Watsons Malaysia continuous drive to educate its employees and customers on sustainable and green efforts to preserve the planet earth.

Malaysian celebrities like Diana Danielle and Amber Chia were also present to show support to this initiative.

World’s First Coffee Shoes for a Sustainable Lifestyle – XpreSole Cody

Here’s something very interesting I’d like to share with you.

It’s XpreSole Cody. Can you believe that these are the world’s first coffee shoes?

When I received the package, I could already smell the pleasant hint of coffee aroma greeting me. Did you know that 5 cups of recycled coffee grounds make a pair of these? Talk about sustainable lifestyle.

So what’s so great about this pair of coffee shoes, you asked. Let me tell you about it.

First of all, it is water repellent. The upper sole is coated with nano-graded polymer that makes it water- and dirt-proof. Second, it has UV-protection – The coffee yarn has microscopic holes that reflect UV rays soundly. So your feet are kept safe from harmful UVs under the sun.

Next, it has strong grip! It is safer to walk in these on steep surfaces and wet floors. Lastly, it’s ultra-light and highly resilient. It gets back into its original shape easily after repeatedly bending it. It’s that durable!

In fact, I have worn it several times. My feet feel comfortable wearing it with the solid grip on the ground and soft sole that wraps around my feet. The feet do not feel fatigued after walking for a long distance, which usually happens to me with other shoes that I wear.
