Our 3D Experience – Star Wars Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace

Wow wow wow! Won a pair of tickets to watch Star Wars Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace 3D complimentary of @Naza_World and @smfaisal10 via Twitter and FB contest.

Both of us went to GSC Mid Valley to enjoy our movie, which also came with popcorn and coke. It has been quite some time we both did not go for movies. Been busy busy lately and this was like a mini short break we long awaited.

It was freezing in the cinema and I was shaking the whole time. The seats we had was exactly under the air ventilator. Overall, the movie was quite ok as I am not a sci-fi movie fan. Furthermore, it was too cold to be 100% comfortable. All I was thinking about was, “When will it finish? I wanna go back.” (shaking)

Mein, in 3D glasses, smiling with her snacks…

Camwhoring in the glasses…

It was a good time which we both wanted. Despite being near frozen, we both enjoyed the moment very much.

A Short Break @ G Cup Tea

After window shopping for almost ONE full day in Kenanga Wholesale Centre, we finally stopped at a bubble tea kiosk called G Cup Tea. Yes, it’s specialty is the G Cup sized bubble tea. And it’s on Buy-1-Free-1 promotion. So, what more? Just grabbed one (and one) for ourselves.

Look at the G Cup sized and the regular sized tea… I opted for the bigger one…

A Red & Green Christmas Party

23 December 2011 – MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody! It’s time to party and the primatz did exactly what we needed to do. P.A.R.T.Y!!! Wuuhoooo!!! This year, we are heading for a potluck party, with a red & green colour theme.

Same like last year, playing the host and hostess, Mein and I prepared our food at home and waited for the rest to come. Mein prepared pasta and the sauce while I fried some chicken nuggets. Also, we baked some cute little gingerbread men cookies prior to the day. Remember?

Tick tock! Tick tock! The first pair arrived. It’s Foo Weng and Riko. He brought pizzas while Riko borrowed our kitchen to continue boiling her cola chicken wings, which tasted exceptionally delicious.

Ding dong! Ding dong! Mey Jian and Dennie came. Mey Jian brought her mum’s cooking, curry chicken while Dennie quickly put the jelly he made into the fridge. Thanks auntie for the yummilicious curry chicken…

Mei Leng’s family arrived next. Chi Hong brought some roti canai while Mei Leng brought a can of longan drink for everyone! For me, it was the first few pieces of roti canai I’ve eaten for quite a long time. (More than a year I suppose).

Lastly, Wai Tat and Chrystine came. We thought they are bringing their newborn but it was an upset. Well, next time, bring him together alright? The fried meehoon they brought simply tasted good!

Well, the makan session went on smooth with everyone indulging in each others’ food and drink. Couldn’t resist the non-Inferno diet. I promise I’ll do more grunts to lose the extra kgs.

Gift exchange is never forgotten. All the gifts under the tree were nicely numbered and everyone lucky dipped their lucky gift. And here are the results :

Foo Weng with his glass, Riko with her photo frame…

Mey Jian with her blinking Santa, Dennie with his Old Town white coffee…

Esther with her new dress, Mei Leng with her massage device, Chi Hong with his Nissin pillow…

Wai Tat with his card reader and pen, Chrystine with her lunch box…

Mein & myself with our cups…

People, it was a blast!!! Awesomeness and it was great having you guys in the house. Let the tradition continues… We’ll see what we can do next year…

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Fa la la la la la la…

Bootcamp, Health & Wellness

You Know What I Did in Bootcamp? (Part 4)

On 26 September 2011, marked the starting of the 8 Week Challenge. All participating COBC’ians took part in this wonderful dietary plan. We were given directions and guidance on how and what to eat and not to eat. Various workouts and exercises were given through its forum to help burn fat and build muscles. All we need to do is to follow them strictly.

During this 8 weeks, I have gone through different types of changes. Many people who know me thought that I was sick as I grew thinner in such a noticeable difference. Without knowing that I am going through the challenge, they condemned my new eating habit. Without understanding the actual food that I can eat, they actually served me with non 8WC compliant food, which I had to reject politely.

All these were so worth it. Once I revealed my new body online in my Facebook, they were actually stunned and surprised! Not only they praised my determination, they also asked about the diet plan which they wanted to follow.

During 8WC, I have learned so much. I learned how to cook without oil. I learned drinking skim milk instead of HL milk. I learned how to choose healthier food over the less healthy ones. I learned to find 8WC compatible food even when I am not at home cooking.  There are so much that I have learned. Mostly changing of eating habit. Most importantly, think before you eat.

To know what I’ve eaten and cooked during my 8WC, click here.

8WC is actually a competition between COBC’ians from Australia and Malaysia, competing to win cold hard cash AUD5k (RM15k). Everyone was so determined and strong. The competition was not easy. However, no Malaysians manage to win any International titles. Only one recruit from Malaysia managed to get to the finals – Kym Wishnowski from BU. Well done, Kym!

However, there were local champions and runner ups being selected at each platoons and I won the title of Local Champion USJ1 while Sarah Tan is the runner up. Hooyah!

Another surprise is that there is actually a Malaysian category up for grab! I managed to grab the 2nd runner up title, while Mohammad Fazli and Sarah Tan are the winner and 1st runner up respectively. It was such a surprise for me that I finally won something active and sporty!!! It is indeed an achievement I am proud of. Not only I live a healthier life now, I also live with my 6 packs washboard abs now!!! Wuuhoooo!!!!

HOOYAH to COBC!!!
